Rangers Protocol’s New Token and Minting Process
Rangers Protocol has launched an updated version of $RPG in response to the impact of the Poly Network incident on the previous version. To ensure the protection of user assets, the team also introduced a new token mint contract, facilitating the transfer of old $RPGs to the new version.
New Tokens Online
On July 2nd, 2023, the cross-chain solution Poly Network experienced a security incident. It impacted various tokens across 10 blockchains, including Rangers Protocol’s $RPG. Rangers Protocol took immediate actions to safeguard users’ assets, introducing a new version of the $RPG token replacing the affected old version. A new token contract has also been issued to facilitate the migration from the old version tokens to the new versions. Additionally, Rangers Protocol equipped the new $RPG with new DEX pools. The new pools are now available on platforms Uniswap and PancakeSwap.
The Rangers Protocol team has also observed a series of attacks on the cross-chain bridges. After engaging in discussions with projects that may have been impacted, Rangers Protocol has made the decision to temporarily disable the trading pairs. The team will reinstate the bridge once they receive confirmation that the issues pertaining to each token have been resolved and their security is ensured.
To enhance risk mitigation, users should remove LP tokens associated with the old version $RPG. Furthermore, users should suspend trading the old version tokens in DEX pools.
By taking these precautions, Rangers Protocol established a more secure environment for its users.
Means to Obtain New $RPG
The new token contract enables users to transfer their old $RPG tokens to the new contract. Once transferred, the old $RPG tokens will be burned, and users will receive the new $RPG tokens in return.

- Switch the network to Ethereum or BSC.
- Input an address to receive airdrops.
- Confirm the burning of the old $RPG.
- Wait for confirmation.
- Receive the new $RPG airdropped to your address.
